This video sums up how I feel most days. For me, my family doesn’t grasp that crippling feeling depression can cause for no reason. I wake up somedays and it’s this weight that makes doing you’re daily routine seem like the hardest thing in the word. It makes you feel so sad, you feel it in you’re soul and it so dark and lost inside.

Friends and family both try and suggest things, just cause they care and want you to feel better. What they don’t understand is how that will affect me. It’s like asking someone in a wheel chair to get up and walk, that’s the level of what depression can do.

I think it’s even more common among the LGBQ+ community, which I am a part of. They have to fight the demon that is depression and also the fact that they are gay. The fear is intensified is this way because we are so misunderstood, disliked or not tolerated.

So if I could say one thing about the ones the supporters that are there for you, please stop the Psychiatric treatments no one asked for. Also, don’t compare you’re depression, if you suffer from it, with there’s. Everyone handles it different, some are able to push through it and others are chained to it. Just be there for that person, if they want to talk, they will. The best thing, I think, is to let them know you’re their for them, and love them.
